Who We Are
Hobart Builders LLC is a sole owner-operated company specializing in fine architectural trim and custom cabinetry. Joe Milicia, owner, founded the company in 1993. After graduating from Hobart College in 1987, Joe went to work for some well known general contractors doing high end work in Fairfield County, CT. It was during the complete reconstruction of Stormfield, Mark Twain’s homestead, in Redding, CT that Joe honed his skills in fine architectural trim and custom cabinetry. Soon after, he founded Hobart Builders. His crew consists of highly dedicated and experienced craftsmen who share the same expertise and commitment to fine trim and cabinetry. The crew’s tenure averages twelve years.
In addition to fabricating and installing fine millwork and custom cabinetry, Hobart Builders has supervised the construction of several custom homes in Fairfield County. Joe’s organizational and supervisory skills, and his attention to detail, led several homeowners to hire him to build their homes. Utilizing Hobart Builders to g.c. the construction of a custom home offers the homeowner the advantage of someone who understands the importance of the infrastructure when building a home. This allows for a finely polished end product.
Hobart Builders has worked throughout Fairfield County, CT, in Litchfield County, CT and in Watch Hill, RI. Hobart Builders has been featured in Fine Homebuilding magazine and continues to serve as a guest author for this magazine.
Clients include general contractors, architects, designers and individual homeowners.
Hobart Builders is a member of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Fairfield County, CT Inc (HBRA) and is certified in Lead Safety for Renovation Repair.
